Wesley is the founder and owner of Fidelity Hearing Centre, established in 2015. With a passion for exploring new technologies and methods, Wesley is dedicated to enhancing audiological services and making innovative strides in the industry. Wesley has previously served on the Executive Committee at Independent Audiologists Australia and is a strong supporter of independent Audiology.

Currently serving as a board member and formerly president of Ears Incorporated, Wesley is deeply committed to reducing the impact of hearing loss worldwide. This not-for-profit Australian organisation focuses on increasing access to hearing care by training health workers and educators in developing countries.

With a unique background as a drummer, Wesley also specialises in addressing the specific hearing needs of musicians, combining a personal passion with professional expertise to provide specialised care for this community.

The half-day program features vibrant local and international speakers, offered across two concurrent streams: Start Strong and Level Up.

Start Strong is for new or prospective independents getting off the ground, and will include expert guidance on business planning, goal setting, assembling a team, confidently handling billing and reimbursement, and tackling the first steps on the journey to independent practice.

Maybe you'd like to refresh your knowledge around claiming processes to make sure you are serving your patients well and being reimbursed correctly? Join us for a conversation with Hearing Services Program representative, Kellie Wilson, Assistant Director Hearing Policy and Compliance Section. IAA have been pleased to work with Kellie and the HSP this year providing input into revision of rules and policies affecting independent providers.

Kellie will provide an update on recent changes to claiming rules and how your clinic can use them - including welcome updates recognising the work involved in Bluetooth troubleshooting, among others. She will introduce us to the new HSP portal, and discuss common pitfalls for providers and how to avoid them, with key details from the new 2023 compliance manual.

Are you registered to provide Medicare services in your clinic? If not, you should be! Medicare referral rules have changed recently to allow greater scope for GP's to refer for Audiology services, as well as streamlined claiming of implantable device services.
